With the
expanded use of switching equipment in the industrial environment,
the importance of TVSS has increased. No longer is it only for
the protection from lightning generated surges. These new high
level control systems have become extremely sensitive to transients
produced within the facility. These new controls must now be
protected to provide maximum up time.

Dyna-System
Modular Hybrid Parallel Surge Protection Device
|
The
Dyna – System (DS) is a parallel suppressor, appropriate
for use at either a service entrance or a distribution panel.
At the service entrance the DS provides protection against
lightning or switching transients from the utility system.
At a distribution panel, it provides protection against
transients generated on other branch circuits within the
facility. DS models suppress and filter even the highest
and most damaging transients up to 450kA. DS surge suppressors
do not incorporate fusing elements that restrict the unit’s
ability to repetitively suppress transients up to it’s
full rated surge capacity.

The
GB is a modular unit connected in parallel with ten modes
of protection. It is appropriate and rated for use at Category
C3, C2 or C1 service entrance locations and all Category
B distribution panel locations. Offering both common and
normal mode protections, the GB provides protection against
lightning, utility switching and internally generated transients.
GB models suppress and filter even the highest and most
damaging transients up to 600kA. GB surge suppressors do
not incorporate fusing elements that restrict the unit’s
ability to repetitively suppress transients up to it’s
full rated surge capacity.

PBS
Panelboard with Integral Surge Protection

|
The
PBS is a parallel suppressor which is integral to a panelboard.
It provides protection against transients from distribution
panels and transients generated on other branch panels within
the facility. PBS models suppress and filter damaging transients
up to 300kA. They combine a linear array of protection components
and high frequency filters to eliminate transient voltage
and electrical line noise. The PBS is compatible with, and
can be incorporated into, panelboards from all major panelboard
manufacturers, including panelboard OEMs. PBS surge suppressors
do not incorporate fusing elements, which would restrict
the unit’s ability to repetitively suppress transients
up to its full rated surge capacity.

Leader
Parallel Surge Protection Device

|
The
Leader (LS) is a parallel suppressor that can be installed
either at indoor or outdoor locations. Its compact size
makes it ideal where space is limited. Although compact,
the LS has a transient handling capability equal to much
larger units and will suppress and filter transients up
to 225kA. It is appropriate at the service entrance, a distribution
panel or to protect individual equipment. LS surge suppressors
do not incorporate fusing elements that restrict the unit’s
ability to repetitively suppress transients up to its full
rated surge capacity.

The
SM is a parallel suppressor for use in commercial facilities.
It is appropriate for use at either a service entrance or
a distribution panel. At the service entrance the SM provides
protection against lightning or switching transients from
the utility system. At a distribution panel, it provides
protection against transients generated on other branch
circuits within the facility. SM models suppress and filter
damaging transients up to 160kA. SM surge suppressors do
not incorporate fusing elements that restrict the unit’s
ability to repetitively suppress transients up to it’s
full rated
surge capacity.

FM
Parallel Surge Protection Device
|
The
FM is a parallel suppressor for use in commercial facilities.
It is appropriate for use at either a service entrance or
a distribution panel. At the service entrance the FM provides
protection against lightning or switching transients from
the utility system. At a distribution panel, it provides protection
against transients generated on other branch circuits within
the facility. FM models suppress and filter damaging transients
up to 120kA. FM surge suppressors do not incorporate fusing
elements that restrict the unit's ability to repetitively
suppress transients up to it's full rated surge capacity.

SP
Parallel Surge Protection Device

|
The
SP is a parallel suppressor for use in commercial and residential
facilities. It is appropriate for use at either a service
entrance or a distribution panel. At the service entrance
the SP provides protection against lightning or switching
transients from the utility system. At a distribution panel,
it provides protection against transients generated on other
branch circuits within the facility. SP models suppress
and filter damaging transients up to 120kA. SP surge suppressors
do not incorporate fusing elements that restrict the unit’s
ability to repetitively suppress transients up to it’s
full rated surge capacity.

CF Parallel Surge
Suppresion Device

|
The
CF is a parallel suppressor for use in commercial and residential
facilities. It is appropriate for use at either a service
entrance or a distribution panel. At the service entrance
the CF provides protection against lightning or switching
transients from the utility system. At a distribution panel,
it provides protection against transients generated on other
branch circuits within the facility. CF models suppress
and filter damaging transients up to 120kA. CF surge suppressors
do not incorporate fusing elements that restrict the unit’s
ability to repetitively suppress transients up to it’s
full rated surge capacity.

USP
Parallel Surge Suppression

|
The
USP is a parallel surge suppressor for use in commercial
and residential facilities at either a service entrance
or a distribution panel. At the service entrance these models
provide protection against lightning or switching transients
from the utility system. At a distribution panel, they provide
protection against transients generated on other branch
circuits.

TSP
Parallel Surge Suppression

|
The
TSP is a parallel surge suppressor for use in commercial
and residential facilities at either a service entrance
or a distribution panel. At the service entrance these models
provide protection against lightning or switching transients
from the utility system. At a distribution panel, they provide
protection against transients generated on other branch
circuits.

HSPC
Parallel Home Surge Protection Center

|
The
Home Surge Protection Center (HSPC) is a parallel surge
protection device designed to eliminate transient surges
before they enter the home through the three primary paths
of surge entry (AC, cable, phone lines). The HSPC provides
a central grounding point for the AC, cable and phone lines
and is available for indoor or outdoor installations.
