Recently
there have been a number of changes in the emergency lighting
industry, and increased concern over consistent lighting levels.
This has brought about an increased use of UPS systems to back
up regular lighting banks rather than using multiple emergency
lighting units. Steadypower. com has found that combining both
generators and emergency lighting UPS is often more efficient
than using just UPS. We have found a number of projects where
combining a generator with a UPS to protect lighting that cannot
turn off, has allowed a complete facility to maintain full operation
for the cost of the emergency lighting system alone.
