Cogeneration – also known as “combined heat and power” (CHP) – is the generation of both electrical and thermal power from the same energy source. This is possible because the process of generating electrical power from fuel creates heat as a byproduct. This heat is captured and used to provide heating and/or chilling.

With cogeneration, efficiencies far in excess of utility provided power are obtained – as high as 85% combined efficiencies. Stated another way, cogeneration can reduce the true power consumption of a facility by 20 to 40%. In addition to being efficient and economical, cogeneration is environmentally friendly, and provides a source quality power.

Steadypower.com provides a choice of products driven by gasoline or diesel engines. Also available are systems powered by turbine and micro-turbine engines. We also provide a variety of chillers for production of air conditioning.
