It's not uncommon to have generators weighing over 120 lbs. And weight usually corresponds to power output. Moving a generator around a job site can be challenging. It might take 2 or 3 people or a back hoe to move a generator from place to place on a job site. That is, until Yamaha created the YG2800i. The most important addition is the "Economy Control" function. Here's how it works: Typically, a generator runs at 3600 rpm to produce 60HZ. With Yamaha's "Economy Control," the YG2800i engine speed automatically adjusts to precisely match power demand.
